Do you know how the schedule releasing system goes on southwest? The website says on May 21 they will open bookings through Jan 4. We fly on Jan 25 and back on Feb 2. We're starting to worry because we want to fly southwest but we are watching prices go up and up and up. :( How much longer after May 21 do you think it will take them to release the dates we are needing to book?

Normally the experts would tell you to wait until approximatly 2 months out for the best pricing. With the oil rates as they are now though it's anybodys guess.

As much as I'd like to, there's no way I can wait that late to book airfare. I know southwest has an odd way of releasing schedules but I'm a planner and I don't want to wait to long.

For southwest book ASAP ... If the prices go down you can rebook and get a credit :o

The booking for your time period will open about Aug 15th to Sept 1st. We fly SW every year in Feb and for the last few years that has been the time frame for bookings to open.
