Iit's not a time share.. it's a nice beach day at a quiet, private hotel. THe Hilton is located within walking distance of the port. It's has a small private beach, a nice quiet pool. Cabanas, day beds, patio bar and grill and poolside/beachside service. It's not a resort atmosphere.. no corny poolside games. Just a relaxing atmosphere. Not great for active kids. tommy2811 Posted March 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2012 The Sheraton is 25pp and the Hilton is 50pp.... any difference besides price?
scubagirrl Posted March 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2012 The Sheraton is 25pp and the Hilton is 50pp.... any difference besides price? the Hilton includes a $30 voucher for lunch.. the sheraton does not include lunch BTW. if you purchase the Hilton thru Island marketing.. it's $50.. if you purchase it from the front desk.. it's $55. The properites are very different as well. Hilton is a quiet business hotel with a small private beach. Sheraton is a large resort atmosphere with a casino. chellebell91987 Posted March 30, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2012 It was wonderful got some great pics with the ships in the background. It's a quit place good to relax and watch the ships leave. We got there about 2 or 3 pm and were in port with Disney Dream, NCL Epic, Carnival: sensation, ecstasy and destiny. Not crowded at all. The drinks can be expensive $3 for a soda that is a small cup half filled with ice and half a can of soda. Finally relized this and were able to get a cup of ice and a full can. My hamburger was $15 and most drinks were $9-10 with beer around $6-7. There were 4 of us and we had a hard time spending $120 since I was the only one with food. My husband relized they sell some kind of rum in the gift shop and brough that out and just kept buying sodas at $3 and made rum and cokes instead of buying those drinks. There is a volleyball net, basketball hoop and the pool was rather warm which was good since the beach was cold. We would go back there in a heartbeat not too far from the ship either. Have fun! girlscruise2011 Posted March 30, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2012 I was at the Hilton in October. I would recommend it if you want a nice place to just relax. Close to the ship and can do your shopping on the way back.

Price-wise im now leaning the Hilton... 50x2=100.00 30.00+30.00= drinks-food short nice walk with some shopping/browsing along the way- total 100.00 Sheraton 25.00x2= 50.00 15.00x2=30.00(cab) drinks at least 50.00 maybe a snack 15.00=65.00 145.00 at least. Correct. The difference is the type of experience. Hilton is quiet and low keyed. Not a resort atmosphere.. just relaxng. Most people are napping or reading.. or just enjoying the sun. Sheraton is a real resort. 3 lively pools, large, wide beach, snorkeling and jet ski's, vendors selling everything from local drinks to hair braiding. this is best for a diverse, active family. Lots to do..something for everyone. My preference is the Hilton. I chose it because it's quiet and serene.

I enjoyed the Hilton for that reason. We had $120 to spend for 4 of us. Left with enough to leave the balance for a good tip for the server and we had a few drinks each, split a few meals and a very LARGE bottle of water each. Walking back, we shopped. It made a nice day for us.

girlscruise2011 Posted April 1, 2012 #17 Share Posted April 1, 2012 Thanks. yes. what kinds of shops during the walk??? You walk through a main shopping area of Nassau. There is the Straw Market. When I was there it was outside but I read that its finally indoors now. The usual shops, jewelry, gifts, tshirts, etc. It took us over an hour to get back to the ship because we had to look in every store :D

I am so excited to just sit on the beach and relax with a drink in my hand! :) Getting a bottle of rum from the gift shop is a great idea...there isnt any issues with drinking it on property? Actually, there is. There is a sign at the exit to the beach that says no outside food or drink. Plus, there is no glass allowed at the pool or beach.
