Richard Schmidt Posted April 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2005 Can you use your own headset in the gym to hear the tv? Some advice from an older but wiser traveler. Dump the headset AND the gym. All that junk will be waiting for you when you get back to you "life-style" ashore. Instead, walk the deck. Listen to the unique hiss of the ocean ripping past the hull and the low thob of the engines. Feel the wind in you face. Allow yourself one brief, unself-absorbed moment to realize that you are witnessing the same things your ancestors may have crossing the Atlantic on their way to this country. Read something about those days, like "The Only Way To Cross" or "The Sway of the Grand Saloon". Richard
dtwtraveler Posted April 28, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted April 28, 2005 How lucky you are to be a youngster without any heart or health issues! We remember those carefree days! My husband did his medically-necessary 30-minute workout plus spent lots of time walking on deck, exploring the library, attending talks, listening to the hissing, etc., on the QE2, and he can do the same on the QM2!
