Suite or Balcony

Hi I am new to Carnival always have gone NCL. I booked a suite on the GLory a long time ago and got a great deal under 1500.00 for three of us. I now can get a balcony for 500.00 cheaper. I have to decide by tom. THe Suite is in a great location the balcony is on the 6th floor there are rest. and lounges under us. If i was on NCL it would be a no brainer do to the great suite perks..Not so sure about Carnival. Those of you that have been on Carnival in a suite or balcony please help..THe same suite is 2000.00 more the next week.

Deck 6 is not too great a deck to have a cabin on. It's very hit or miss. I was on Liberty in '07 (sister ship to Glory) and we were near the aft section of Deck 6. No noise at all. My brother and SIL were mid-ship Deck 6 and could hear loud music from below til midnight and 1am every night.

No big suite perks on Carnival except for VIP boarding. Personally I'd stay put, unless you are stretched thin budget wise and need that extra money.

I have stayed in both. To be honest, you don't get much in the way of perks with Carnival when you book a suite...just VIP boarding...not like NCL. However, you do get a larger room, double sinks, a dressing area with extra closets, a full size whirlpool tub/shower, and a larger balcony. If those things are important to you, stay with the suite. I don't know if I would like a room above clubs, etc...could be noisy. Depends on the club and how late it might stay open. Good luck, and hope you have a great cruise!:)

I love the ocean suites ...With three of you I would stick with the suite. You got a nice price on it... who cares about extra crazy perks, the space is well worth it. As said be careful with deck 6... if you are above the clubs, or the casino bar you probably will be hearing the music at night....
