Problems in Belize

I heard recently on these boards about problems in Belize (riots, looting, union/worker issues). Has anyone heard or seen any problems there? Did you feel save on a private tour?

Hi Pam, looks like we'll be in Belize either the same day or close to it (we are on the Elation).
