pier Posted May 18, 2012 #26 Share Posted May 18, 2012 Another good idea is just to arrange these private excursions before you go...which is what so many of us do..and not rely on the ships people to hire someone for you. We always try to arrange for private excursions before we go. On our last cruise we made last-minute arrangements that we normally don't do. Arizona Posted May 18, 2012 #27 Share Posted May 18, 2012 Has anyone stayed at the Ohla Hotel? It seems to have decent TripAdvisor reviews and we got it through Luxury Link which has always been good. We'll be there soon after our 10 Days of the Riviera! :)
warburg Posted May 18, 2012 #28 Share Posted May 18, 2012 We stayed at the Hotel Colon seven times. We request a room overlooking the Cathedral. Each room came with a balcony. Very nice because that area is somewhat like a gigantic stage. Many special events happen, often with music. Breakfast is delightful. Great location! The staff is extremely helpful. As an eccentric aside, the green shower gel supplied in the bathroom is fabulous for removing eye makeup.
baldercash Posted May 20, 2012 #29 Share Posted May 20, 2012 We just returned from a 5 day post cruise stay in Barcelona and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We chose to rent an apartment instead of staying in a hotel. The location could not have been any better as we were in the middle of the old part of town down a fairly quiet side street. We were able to get a very good feel for the city, a tiny bakery / coffee shop was across the narrow lane from our front door, 3 doors down was a tiny fruit & veg store. Next time we stay in Barcelona we would stay in the same location. http://www.regomir25.com/index.html
