Just back from Victory!!!

I have booked a CAT11 midship (so it would not be as rocky) just curious as to why everyone books the aft cabins (do you not feel more motion back there)??? Maybe for future cruises I will consider this if I get some good reviews about them.

I stayed on the aft on the Victroy- cabion 6440. no more motion then elsewhere on the ship...had a great view--a bigger balcony.. all for the same price as the people paid for the side ones.

1. The welcome aboard show was very boring. It started with the dancers which was ok. It ended with a comedian which was great. The middle part was terrible. The cruise director talked some and introduced the rest of his staff. None were funny and that was the point that many people began to leave.

2. We stayed at the Sheraton Biscayne Bay for precruise and was very pleased. I had concerns after hearing that the hotel is supposed to be closing soon. No worries. The staff was great and everything was in tip top shape.

3. We felt the second show called Vroom was a lot better than the first. We had seen Vroom on a different ship and didn't remember it being the same at all.

4. Debarkation was rediculous. Worst ever. Took an hour and a half to go basically 75 feet! We didn't do the self assist. Waited for the general debarkation to begin. No calling of colors. Just said everyone is free to go. What a madhouse.

5. Thanks to Limos of Miami for their great transportation service.

6. Casino was ok this time. The dealers were not as friendly as on ships in the past. One person in our group hit $500 on a single quarter. If you play blackjack and like for the whole table to use basic strategy don't count on it. I saw everything from splitting tens to not hitting on soft 16 by many players.

7. Karaoke gets very busy after the first night.

8. The usual chair savers were out in force.

9. Formal night seems to be less formal and casual night seems to be less casual. Just an observation.

10. We had the best team waiter service ever. Chattey and TJ were incredible. They knew all our names after the first night. Kept all our glasses filled and never without rolls. Thanks again guys for a wonderful week. Actually had a teary goodbye the last night.

11. Hello to Torrie, Alan, Robin, Stan, Melanie, Lori, and Al. It was great meeting you guys.

12. We also used Nativeway and can't say enough good things about them. Sheldon was terrific and Sharon met us right at the dock. Highly recommend them.

13. In Jamaica we used Peat Taylor. They were excellent as well and highly recommend them. Hey Dayna I think maybe we were on the same bus at some point. Did anyone in your group perhaps lose the glasses at the falls? We got the DVD and it turned out great.

Hi Carinvalcruisejunkie, yes my sister in law lost her glasses in the falls. How horrible was that. her daughters were crying so badly. I couldn't believe when the guide dove under and found them. They were a little scratched up and luckily she had another pair on the ship, it could have ruined the rest of the trip for her. It turned out to be a great day and a great cruise. We got the DVD as well. It is pretty fun to watch. What did you do after the falls?

We went t Margaritaville, and had a great time.
