Day in Cozumel

Recommended Posts

We will be in Cozumel May 13th, 10:00am-7:00pm (Mariner of the Seas). We would like to go to a beach, do some shopping, have a few drinks. Can anyone recommend a reputable jewelry shop (not too expensive). Also, not sure what beach to go to. They all sound great. Looking for suggestions for our day in Cozumel.

What are you looking for in the way of jewelry? If you're wanting diamonds or other precious stones, you're not going to get any bargains in Cozumel and unless you're a gemologist with a "loop" that knows what to look for, you could wind up with something less than what you expected. Silver is a good buy in Cozumel since there are silver mines in Mexico.

There are some interesting jewelry shopping (and general shopping) tips at:

What are you looking for in the way of a beach? Power water toys like jet skis, parasailing, party atmosphere, peace & quiet, etc.? There's a pretty comprehensive beach guide at: http://www.cozumelinsider.com/Beaches
