funduo Posted May 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2005 We had the best time with Nativeway. Eldon and Sharon are great hosts and run a wonderful business. They actually are relatives to Captain Marvin who charges a little more. If you have any questions about them, contact me. harvey@skyweb.net Enjoy!! stlrboo Posted May 3, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2005 A note to consider... Capt. Marvins crew is wonderful and helpful, but as they use powerboats exclusively, boarding may be a problem for youngsters or the elderly. I noticed several catamarans that had 'ladders' that went directly from the boat down into the water, which made boarding much easier.. A powerboat will have a swim platform which one must access, then a ladder into the water.. Just an observation and IMHO :p
IndianaGal Posted May 3, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2005 What site is the best to book for Stingray City in the Caymans? Hello, just returned from Carnival Miracle yesterday. If you are not interested in a party boat and just want to swim with and feed the stingrays and snorkel, then book with Captain Bryan's. We paid a 10% deposit with a total of $35 for the 2 -1/2 hour trip. There are other excursions available as well. Enjoy your cruise! OrangeAndBlue Posted May 3, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 3, 2005 I've only been with Capt. Marvins and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. However, I have heard good things about both Nativeway and Captain Bryans throughout this website, so I don't think you could go wrong with any of them... BettyB2 Posted May 3, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 3, 2005 6 of our group of 38 went with Capt Bryans back in February and 11 others went with the ships excursions....at the end of the day it turned out we had a MUCH better time and Robert and Javid were excellent. We recommended some friends to go last month when they sailed the Inspiration/Imagination (not sure which ship it was) and they called us on the way home to tell us thanks and what a great time they had. When we went there were 22 of us on board...it was the best day I have ever had. No matter what private company you choose, you will undoubtably have a wonderful day!!!!:D
