LovetheSea Posted May 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Because this cruise is hard to find on the website, I thought I would give everyone a heads up about it. Celebrity is having a two night cruise, on the Infinity, from Vancouver B.C. Friday May 28. it then goes to Victoria from 8 am - 5 pm on Saturday and comes back to disembark Sunday morning in Vancouver. Right now they have a $300.00 per person price on a BALCONY guarantee!!!! We are booked on this. It makes a nice little escape and cruise fix if you are living close enough to drive to Vancouver. It's about an hour and a half for us. I am NOT a travel agent. You can find the cruise by going to the Celebrity web site and clicking on ports of call and then Vancouver B.C. I don't know how long this price will last. They seem to change it daily! . boydsdaughter Posted May 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Thanks for the heads up. I just put a 48 hour hold on a balcony quarantee. You're right, it's a great fix. We're on the 12/05 Hawaii cruise and will give us a taste of the Infinity. BTW I got a quote from CruiseQuick and they couldn't get this price. Called X directly and got it. Now have to wait to see if my daughter can get a day off work. Thanks again for the information. trcori Posted May 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Sigh; when I heard about this last week I was really hopeful, but even with the few oceanview cabins that opened up the other day, I still can't get a quote much below $1,000 for the three of us, even through CQ, which is just too much for a weekend ... we could put together our own pkg taking BC ferries RT, staying in the Fairmont Vancouver, and eating all meals in nice restaurants for less. So I think it makes $ sense for couples (we don't have family to leave our kid with!) but unless they come down in the final two weeks, we won't be joining you, BOO HOO, but have a great mini-cruise .. LovetheSea Posted May 2, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 2, 2004 windermere.. I will try and leave SOME money for you to win in the casino Or maybe you will win some of my quarters I hope we are both lucky with the weather. It has been so nice lately. I went up by Mount Baker Friday and it was warmer up there than in Mount Vernon! I went to Alaska on the Mercury in June a few years back and it was 80 degrees and HOT the whole week. Then my hubby and I went back last June and it rained the whole time. But I loved it BOTH times
windermere Posted May 2, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 2, 2004 We spent the weekend at Fort Warden in Port Townsend. I could see Mt Rainier & Mt. Baker from the beach. I love this state!! Have a great trip. LovetheSea Posted May 4, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted May 4, 2004 windermere... What a small world. I was just at Keystone/Fort Casey last month and plan to be there Friday morning, in my motorhome! My Mom is coming over from Yakima and she wants to stay there a couple of days. It is a great place to see the cruise ships pass by in the summer. My sister lives in Oak Harbor. She will come see us and we will all ferry over to Port Townsend to our favorite Chinese food place. My hubby and I were both born in Washington State. We love it and would never leave.
