HELP - CRUSING WITH 3 kIDS UNDER 11

I will be cruising with my 3 boys and my mother. Do my children need passports and what else if my husband is no cruising with us. Leaving in 6 weeks.

Passports and a notarized letter saying the children are allowed to travel with you. I hope they will go into the camp so you can enjoy some alone time on your vacation!

Most cruises you are ok bringing their Birth Certificates, as long as it's the official birth certificate (NOT the hospital souvenir version). You will also need a notarized letter signed by their father that allows you to have them on the cruise and to visit the countries that are on the itinerary.

yes, make sure you have that notarized letter. many people are never asked for it, but once in a while they do, as my friend found out the hard way and was denied boarding. luckily they accepted a fax copy just in time to board.

 

and camp carnival is great! You'll have to beg your kids to spend time with you lol.

I cruise with kids and just birth certificates. I went on 4 cruises before I found out I needed a notarized letter from their dad! On the last 2 I brought it just in case, but nobody ever asked for it.

 

Tip: Banks offer free notarizing services. You can just download a standard form, fill it in, and have your husband go to the bank with it.

We are booking a cruise for our blended family with 6 kids. I am HOPING that it is not the hectic, no fun cruise that my husband thinks it will be. I am optimistic!!
