carnival spirit question

Hi,

Am currently trying to book a room on carnival spirit. We really wanted an extended balcony but the only ones left are above the theatre, or below the pool deck. Not ideal. Just wondering if anyone has booked a cabin on deck 8 or 5 and how they found them. I'm running out of options so any help would be appreciated. Trying to find something not too noisy so the kids can actually sleep.

I have been on deck 8 aft. The pool closes in the early evening...there was no noise what so ever. I have never been on deck 5, but if you are right above the theatre and you retire early, keep in mind there are a couple of shows that run until approximately 11:30 or 12:00.
