slocav Posted June 7, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2012 I'm looking into booking an excursion while we are in Barbados and Silvermoon has caught my attention. I see they offer a 12 Person Cruise for $115 which is 5 hours. or A Turtle and Shipwreck Snorkel for $65 which is 3.5 hours. Any advice? I'd like less crowd, and the last option doesn't list the size of the group going. Is the 12 person worth the extra money?
EithneMay Posted July 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2012 They have a 12 person tour and a 24 person tour. We actually prefer the 24 person tour as the boat is much larger and has more space for shade. Either way, the tour will be amazing. The crew is awesome, and the food delicious. Best rum punch we have had in the Caribbean, so far! We were bummed that they were booked and our group could not get on in April 2013, but next cruise we will book with them again! I am surprised they say they are full for April 2013 as they have always told us that they can't book until six months prior. So try them again at the six month date. good luck

One time we were given the larger boat for our group, the second time we were given the smaller boat. Love both boats and because the group was smaller and it was mainly people we knew from our roll call it was a great day. I have written about both trips in my blog, link below, just click in the search box for Silvermoon and you will find both posts vickie

Lady Librarian Posted July 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 11, 2012 We just sent in a reservation request for our November cruise. Every since I saw some of those turtle pictures, I knew I had to take this tour.
sns1009 Posted July 19, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Does anyone have a contact e-mail for Silvermoon? Their contact page on the website doesn't seem to be working.

This is a wonderful excursion - definitely worth experiencing.... If Silver Moon is all booked up, you can always try other companies. There are a ton of other companies offering similar "swim with turtles" booze cruise packages. Here are a few other places you can try: Shasa Cool Runnings Calabaza Elegance Why Not Ocean Adventures Wasn't Me Small Cats Cruises Ocean Mist Jammin' Tiami Good Times Barbados El Tigre Cruises Thriller Turtle & Shipwreck Snorkel Jolly Roger You can also check out these websites: http://barbados.org/sailtour.htm http://www.funbarbados.com/tours/ http://barbados.org/tours/barbados_sea_tours.htm Cheers, P:)
