nonna5 Posted June 11, 2012 #26 Share Posted June 11, 2012 Heck I think I am going back to NCL. I just looked at my profile and I only have 7 cruises with them and I am already in the top tier. 31 cruises with Carnival and my level evidentally did not even exist until they released the new unloyalty program. readytotravel44 Posted June 11, 2012 #27 Share Posted June 11, 2012 I am a little disappointed with this new program. I have 6 cruises made and one for later this year which will give me 7 cruises but with this new program it will not be enough to be platinum. Looks like I will have to take at least 6 more 7 day cruises to be platinum. I was so looking forward to only having 3 more cruises to be platinum. I think this new program is unfair but then again I do enjoy cruising too much to worry about perks. I just hope that this is not the start of more programs that will make it impossible for me to continue doing what I love to do. Kathy Me too, Kathy. We have 7 in as well with number 8 in July. Our total will be 51 when we've completed the July cruise. It will require us to cruise and extra or two before we hit Platinum. Well, we've been trying to book Carnival exclusively to hit Platinum prior to the switch, but we're didn't quite make it. No longer in a rush with Carnival! Time to try RCCL! Eager to see the Broadway Shows they talk about. In fact I'm watching the Tony's right now and they broadcasted Hairspray directly from a RCCL ship! BTW - I had hoped that whey might weigh the cruises, to grandfather folks in so that they had about the same amount to cruise to reach goals. Kathy Alternately, take three more cruises (even cheap 2/3 nighters) before Dec 31, 2013 and you'll still get Platinum. We're taking our 5th Carnival cruise later this year, so not that close. But if I had 7 or 8 cruises, I'd seriously think about it.
