Carnival Glory NYC -Canada 8/1/12

I have been reading lots of reviews, comments, etc. about the Glory and the Canada ports. I am going on this cruise as a family reunion and will have about 24 family members on board. My question is this- we have ages from teenagers (16) to mid 50's. I know we will make our own fun, but does this cruise cater to those over 60? We like to drink and have a good time, and, as the organizer of this trip (last one was in caymans and mexico) i am worried that the younger group will be bored. Will the pools still be fun? Do they still do the goofy contests, etc? (hairy chests contests- we are Italian!)
