cruisehappysue Posted May 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2005 In the late planning stages of our next cruise! Picked the destination and ship- now it's on to the cabin! Can't really afford a balcony this trip but like outside cabins (without obstructed views as the upper deck rooms without balcony seem to have!). Looking at Carnival website there might be alot of activity(?noise) on the Riviera deck. Would greatly appreciate any input from cruisers the stayed here. Noise from the Galley- noise and traffic from the Dr Frankensteins Lab (whatever that is!) or the Cabaret Lounge?? Thanks to all and Happy Cruising! JMKO Posted May 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2005 I didn't stay on that deck but I did line up in the hallway twice to get off at port. The line blocked the hallway. I think that would be really anoying.
cruisehappysue Posted May 8, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted May 8, 2005 Thanks for your reply Is the gangway on this deck then to get off to the ports or the tenders? Thanks for any information Sue
JMKO Posted May 8, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2005 No the gangway was on deck A below the Riviera. My only guess is that you can't wait on the stairs so they run the line in the Riviera hallway.
disneylynn Posted May 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 9, 2005 I had a cabin on the Riviera deck, it was not noisy at all. The location was great, up 1 flight of stairs and you in the middle of everything. Once there was a line to get off the ship but we were so close we got right off without any problems.
