Newbie looking for MUST DO'S on Voyager

Recommended Posts

I want to make the most of my experience onboard the Voyager leaving from NY to Jamaica, Grand Bahamas, Grand Caymans and private island in early June. Any helpful hints about what not to miss both on board the boat and in each port would be appreciated. I am in late 50's with a wife in a wheelchair, but have booked a junior suite midship.

I am definitely a beach person, so best beaches in each port would be helpful

Just took our first cruise on the VOS in April. DH and I are both in our early 50's. Had a great time and are looking for our next cruise! Don't worry about trying to do everything, just enjoy what you do, and say "We will do that next time!" Then you have to return. The thing I enjoyed the most is meeting and talking with people at the meals. We usually went to the main dining room breakfast, lunch and dinner and met wonderful people. The other thing that is so enjoyable is the live entertainment, not just the shows, but there is almost live music somewhere on ship all the time. Just sit and enjoy! You and your wife have a great cruise! :)

*The men's restroom next to the Windjammer is suppose to be amazing. Seen it on TV but we didn't know about it while we were onboard.

*Our favorite show was the ice show, simply amazing what one could do with hula hoops!

Our whole party of 7 loved the barbque on Labadee. Absolutely THE best ribs I have ever had. The food was delish...

On board I agree the ice show and the promenade and the dance contest in Studio B.

Just returned from the Voyager myself. I'd have to say the theater show "Dream Scape" was pretty awesome, and I agree that the ice show is a "must see".

I wouldn't recommed getting off the ship in Labadee, as it's not wheel chair friendly...all sand!
