Is it possible to get here and back on a cruise stop? Was recommended to me as a place for great snorkeling and wanted to give it a shot!

You can snorkel the same reef with Coral Breeze Tours, but do it from Caye Caulker after the boat ride there.

Look up their site for all this info & we do recommend the local lunch on Caye Caulker.

Enjoy Belize.

Ambergris Caye has very nice diving close to it. A lot of the boats from Ambergris Caye go south from the Caye, in the direction to Belize City, thus a lot a diving places will be between your cruise ship and the Caye. Therefore, you probably don’t even need to visit the Caye.

However, I think that Ambergris Caye is a very nice place to go to, not simply just as a jumping off point to other places, but as a destination to wonder through in its own right.

Caye Caulker would make more sense for you to have as starting point. And there are a lot of people who prefer to visit Caye Caulker to Ambergris Caye (though I am not one of them).

It is a wonderful place to visit but hard to get to, NCL used to offer a shark ray alley tour that went to this island. This tour is no longer offered.

Last year, I booked the shark ray alley thru coral breeze tours They take you to caye caulker which is smaller but looks fun to visit. For us hurricane rina prevented us from going. Will try them again in my upcoming cruise.

There is a tour operator that will take to belize city where you can fly to ambergyis caye.

Yes. Very easily. We used ecotoursbelize.com and did the shark ray alley by air tour. Next time we'll just go on our own.

Read thru pages 6 and 7 of this thread for a full review.
