MamaParrotHead Posted May 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2005 I know that there was an updated version onboard (as of the beginning of the year, I think) and last time it was discussed, the one Carnival.com was showing was the outdated one. does anyone know? thanks! MamaParrotHead Posted May 10, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted May 10, 2005 If I'd order, say the lobster and the prime rib or the coquilles st. jaques with the filet mignon for entrees, would they come on the same plate? or can I request it? I want to try a few entrees, but don't necessarily want 2 large dinner plates in front of me, crowding the table. thanks! :)
bankofdad Posted May 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2005 The sample menu shown on Carnival.com is for the Supper Club alternative dining option available on some of the fleet. The main ding room menu was great, we really enjoyed it on our recent Triumph cruise. However, the main dsining room menu did not offer the 24oz Porterhouse, the surf and turf and several other items shown on the carnival.com sample menu. I found the soups to be a little bit bland for me but really enjoyed everything that I ate :D As far as ordering 2 things...Personally I never did for entrees as I liked having appetizers, salad and dessert and there was only so much I could eat! But my DD sometimes ordered an entree off the menu (which I would of course try :) ) as well as something from the kids menu just in case! When I ordered 2 appetizers or others at my table have ordered 2 entrees they always got more than one plate. Keeps the sauces from blending into eachother! Hopefully someone else knows about this. Youwould get the whole dinner not just the meat. I have the 7 day menu--including desserts. http://community.webshots.com/album/231083491RrRMfu

As Serene has said, you get the full entree that comes with each. However, it could just be the difference between waitstaffs, but our waiter brought both entrees out for me at the same time, which I thought was great! Even if your waitstaff won't do this, the good news is that you can still have both entree's:D .
