halos Posted July 10, 2012 #26 Share Posted July 10, 2012 hmmmmm. ok. Guess I never really gave much thought to this process. I've just been glad to get the OBC to offset charges! So is it that the cruiseline says to xyz agency you can sell XXX of these and we'll give an XX OBC (usually by cabin category) to those guests? If it's not a publicly-known process and is better that way, just say so, that's ok too. Just wondering how it works since it's not from the TA ultimately! :-) absolutely!! I know when booking NCL through the agency I use, the OBC that is being offered from NCL from a promotion will be displayed on the TA's booking site. If I go through the motions of booking, I will then see (based on cabin category and money I spend) the OBC I will earn from the agency. The two are combineable. Both will show in my confirmation, but only one will show when I log onto NCL's web site into my account where my cruise info is.
Paul's_wife Posted July 10, 2012 #27 Share Posted July 10, 2012 I booked thru my local travel agent and as far as I know they don't give OBC. However, when I get home I get ten pounds of lobster!!!
DaisyRose Posted July 11, 2012 #28 Share Posted July 11, 2012 You didn't include "stop cruising with Carnival" which is my choice.
