A cab to Alantis is $4 pp plus tip.

and YES.. it's true, Atlantis, except for the casino and shopping, is no longer open to the public. You can no longer wander the lobbies and check out the grounds from the windows and balconies, and you can no longer take a peek at the aquarium from the great hall of waters. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the casino.. of course, children are not allowed in the casino.

Find something worthwhile to do.

Maybe Sail Nassau - www.sailnassau.com

there's a ton of great things to do besides check out a hotel lobby.

I would recommend staying away from Majestic Tours....nothing but bad reviews in most places.

Majestic has a handful of bad reviews, but they are the premier tour company in the bahamas, and the only tour company that is allowed in the hotels. (They are also the only reseller that is located in the bahamas.. the others don't even have agents here.)

They process 1000's of tours a week.

Given the number of tours they sell, the dozen or so complaints a year doesnt' bother me.

thanks for the info!!! but could you tell me about going into Atlantis by ferry????

Ferry is located downtown by the port .. on the wharf. They operate from 9am -6pm daily and cost $4. they run every 30 minutes or so

The Ferry takes you to paradise island, a short 2 block walk to the Marina Village entrance. You are allowed access to the marina village, but not to the hotel, unless you are heading to the casino, or the group of small shops. You can't go any further. Security will stop you.

If security stops you, where do you obtain the day pass for Atlantis? Before boarding the ferry?

You can purchase a day pass from the front desk or the kiosk in the casino when available. Availability is based on occupancy and these days occupancy is high.

Day passes are $135pp/ $80 for kids.
