My wife Joyce and I are going on this cruise. First time on Silversea. Any tour recommendations while in Athens or Istanbul? Or for that matter any of the islands?

Glad you and Joyce will be onboard. We have the good fortune to be able to travel a fair amount and for the most part, we have no trouble finding our way around most cities on our own, and we expect to do that in Athens and Istanbul. We have selected several half-day tours on the islands we will be visiting en-route.

You will be thrilled with SilverSea. You really can't do much better.

I'm guessing you are from NJ? We are outside of Philly.

Yes, we are from NJ....Which tours did you book for the islands? This is our first trip to the Mediterranean so all recommendations are appreciated.

Sorry for the delay, I don't check this site all that often. Mark and I like to take relatively short "overview" tours and then spend time on our own exploring in the afternoons. We have selected the "Oia - on your own" in Santorini; The Aghios, Nikolaos and Spinalonga tour in Crete; the Mt. Philerimos and Rhodes Town tour in Rhodes and the Mykonos Panorama tour in Mykonos. I believe we are taking a tour of Kusadasi (arranged through our travel agent for SilverSea frequent flyers).
