Serenade cabin suggestions?

Have not sailed on the Serenade, and we are planning a 12 night cruise for next May. Any suggestions on what deck, side of the ship, etc. is best?

Don't know how things will be in May but... a LOT of us on the September 2nd cruise did very well with a balcony guarantee room. I had booked an OV cabin in December 2011 @ $1750 pp. In April RCI came out with a special, $1299 for a balcony guarantee. In this category they claim that you can wait until just a couple of weeks before the cruise to get your cabin assignment. But most of us got room assignments within a week or so of booking, 5 months before the cruise.

 

We're on Deck 8 starboard, just aft of the lifeboats. I'll let you know how the room location is, but it won't be much use to tell you about the room because it will be totally re-furbed in November.
