Dreams Resort-La Romana

Morning everybody, is there anybody who has been to the dreams resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic as a land excursion? I saw it on here a while ago and now that we are starting to look at stuff to do on the Breeze when we sail in November we are trying to get as much information as possible before we book it.

 

Is this excursion offered through Carnival or do we have to book it on our own? if we have to book it on our own, how much is the cab ride roughly? How long does it take to get there and since we are only in port from 9-5 will we get much use out of it, for a group of 5 incl. 3 kids?

I am planning to do the same thing. But we don't cruise until next year's Spring Break (March 2013). Let me suggest you take a look under ports of call/Dominican Republic. I think I saw something on Dreams Resort in there. 90% sure that you book it on your own. Don't know what the cab fare will be. Let's us know how you liked it.
