We will be staying on the Biscayne Bay. Which beach should we go to?

Key Biscayne Beach

Miami Beach

South Beach

 

Can you tell us something about these beaches? How safe are these areas?

Well exactly WHERE will you be staying? "Biscayne Bay" is a very LARGE bay! Or did you mean to say you're staying on Key Biscayne???

 

All of the areas you asked about are perfectly safe. South Beach is part of Miami Beach, it's the southern part of the city of Miami Beach, and the location of the famous art deco district. Key Biscayne is a longer drive from downtown Miami and doesn't really have much for the tourist IMO.

 

I would suggest you go to South Beach, just across the MacArthur Causeway (I-395) from downtown Miami. South Beach has many shops along Collins and Washington Avenues. There are many sidewalk cafes along Ocean Drive in front of the old art deco hotels, and the spectacular beach is just across the street.

We are staying at the Sheraton on Biscayne Bay, their website showed these beaches are within a few miles of the hotel.

Okay, that's in downtown Miami on Brickell... The closest and IMO best beach to go to would be South Beach as I described above.
