For all you foodies travelling in Canada today, it is a celebration of

Farmers, Restaurants and Markets for all are wonderful local food.

 

Here is terrific website with write ups on some of the best and also lists of other great restaurants in the area who have also been vetted.Very useful to check restaurants in areas you will be visiting in the future as well.

Another great site is for Farmers Markets of Nova Scotia you can check to see if one is operating the day you are visiting the area.

They are an amazing source of local fare, from prepared foods, fresh fruit , vegetables home baking and many more.

They also have talented local artisans selling unique products and of course a great opportunity to meet with locals.
