In my experience, there have been tables set up under a tent with large dispensers of cold water and fruit punch waiting for return cruisers. This is at the the entrance back onto the ship. Icy towels are also handed out for the hot weather ports. Really nice after a day at the beach or touring.

 

No charge for the cups of water or punch. Only bottled waters have a charge.
