Rooms on Valor

We are booking a cruise on Carnival Valor. The rooms we are interested in are inside staterooms. On the lay out of the rooms it looks like the some of the inside rooms are bigger. The room being on the upper deck. Room # are 6287,6289,6291,6293,6295,6297. Can anyone help me on these rooms? The cruise is for our daughters High School Graduation. We are a large group going. Also the casino is below this area. Can someone tell me if that would be a noisey area?

We stayed in cabin 6262 on the Valor in June and while the location was convenient to activities it is also located near the Main show lounge...everytime there was something going on in the theater we could basically hear word for word what was going on....I guess if you wanted to hear the show but not go to the show it is a good cabin. I also noticed it was able to be heard several rooms down the hall as well!

We target these rooms. 6287,89 and 91. They are especially quiet. Between 6291 and 6293 is a barrier that extends to the below deck that seperates the lobby bar from the casino. If you stay in the forward three cabins, 87,89 or 91 it is very quiet and is also out of the main hallway.

These cabins are more square than rectangular like all the other cabins. If you compare the width to the other cabins, they are 1 1/2 times as wide, and shorter. In reality it gives you a perception of a larger cabin. (just one of those little secrets).

I sailed on Valor in June and it was the best Carnival cruise to date. The highlights in the buffet area were the Mongolian Wok, Burrito Bar and the Fish and Chips area (deck 10 aft of buffet...not many know or find this place). In the Lincoln MDR our Head Waiter was Calixto and he was awesome, we asked for his table every night. The MDR food on our trip was also the best MDR food we have had on CCL.

Overall, in six words; Loved it, Loved it, Loved it.

Enjoy your cruise.

  • 3 years later...

We cruised the Valor a few weeks ago (1/2/16 - 1/9/16), Eastern itinerary, loved the ports and the ship. Had a blast, we personally only book cabins from deck 7 and on up but stick to 7 when available (I book very early for most cruises so we pretty much get what we want on 7).

Would probably not book anything on 6, we like cabins below and cabins above.

The shows, especially the comedy shows were great and they rotated the comedians out mid week so we had fresh comedy. I am sure you will have a good time!
