Glacier Bay Flightseeing - RCCL

Has anyone every taken the Glacier Bay flightseeing from Icy Strait? I am a bit disappointed because we were originally planning on a Princess cruise, but they changed the ships cruising out of Whitter for 2006 which increased the overall price of the cruise $800, so plan to take RCCL instead. Really wanted to see Glacier Bay, so wondering if this excursion is worth it. Thanks.

We're leaving Friday on the Celebrity Summit. We will be visiting Icy Strait and have booked the flightseeing over Glacier Bay as well. I will let you know when we return on June 2nd! I'm really excited about Icy Strait and love Celebrity so the flightseeing/Glacier Bay is a good choice for us. I will let you know if I feel the same after our cruise. It's a lot of $$'s but Glacier Bay is supposed to be spectacular! We will miss the thunderous noice from the calving, but hopefully we'll experience that at Hubbard Glacier!

Hmmm. I seem to be having problems with a TA. He said that only RCCL goes to Icy Strait Point, but you are going with Celebrity. Well, have a great trip. Looking forward to your reply.

Your TA is 50% right! Actually if you consider the fact that RCCL owns Celebrity (that's why both go to Icy Strait), you can stretch that 50%!

 

I'm a TA, and going to Icy Strait...I know that's 100% right!
