Lateral move on ES rate

I've recently realized that I may have selected a less than desirable cabin location for our November sailing. There are still cabins in our category open. As we booked the ES rate, would there be any penalty for a lateral move? Would we have to pay the new rate? Would we forfeit potential future price drops? Anything else I'm missing?

i did the same thing. My PVP moved me as soon as I realized I didn't want that room. She said you can't downgrade, but you can move laterally or upgrade :D Good luck!

I did the same thing when my in-laws booked ES and had their cabin FORWARD when it should have been AFT to be closer to us....

We had to stay within the same classification....but we were able to move their location.
