What is the best and cheapest way to get over to rose island? I've been searching the boards to no avail.

Since Rose Island is primarily privately owned, you must take a santioned tour (tour operators pay per head).

 

Flying Cloud and barefoot sailing both do snorkeling tours there.. and sandy toes has a tour on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. (they own a section of the island)

 

It's not open to the public.

 

Some independent operators say they will take you there, but then you risk getting kicked off by the owner.. or run off by the owners dogs as someone posted recently.
