GayleR Posted August 27, 2012 #26 Share Posted August 27, 2012 That's my b-day, but sadly I won't be sailing on it! Enjoy and have a DOD for me!! That's my birthday, too! :D
mavis2222 Posted August 27, 2012 #27 Share Posted August 27, 2012 I took a NYE cruise on the Victory I think it was dec 31 2000. I got a aft ext balcony for price of regular balcony because ship was still "new" and they havent adjusted the prices yet. They had a short fireworks show and midnight deck party. Now i have a cruise booked on Glory for after thanksgiving (Nov 25th). When i booked this cruise few months ago, the roll call was already over 3 pages and 200 people. Because the price is cheap i guess..
Chigirlcruzin Posted August 27, 2012 #28 Share Posted August 27, 2012 I did a NYE cruise on EPIC last year. That roll call was dead, but the ship was packed. Too packed. 4000 pax when I sailed the previous April, 4800 on the NYE cruise. Lots of families, though I didn't witness any misbehaving children. MANY Europeans on this cruise, and many of them didn't speak English. This was my experience, but maybe NYE cruises attract a different demographic. Your cruise will be full, no worries :)
fergusonvt Posted August 27, 2012 #29 Share Posted August 27, 2012 What do you mean two one way airfares?[/quote Because it's a repositioning we couldn't book round trip. The airfare from San Juan back home was almost the same price as a round trip from Burlington to San Juan. Very expense airfares, almost as much as the cruise.
