DEBnGAB Posted September 6, 2012 #26 Share Posted September 6, 2012 It was on Victory first .. splendor was added later, and this week one more ship, maybe its Dream. Splendor was ship #2 to get it. #3 this week is the Breeze. :D
Ineed2cruise247 Posted September 6, 2012 #27 Share Posted September 6, 2012 Are they going to add one ship per week?? With my luck, the paradise will be the day or week AFTER I sail on it.
e150club Posted September 6, 2012 #28 Share Posted September 6, 2012 I bet they won't give anyone an unopened beer. Just like sodas in a cup. a $10.00 bill every day to the bartender might help but its more $$$.
Kerryman50 Posted September 6, 2012 #29 Share Posted September 6, 2012 I also like my beers in a colapsable cooler in our cabin. Along with my wifes BV booze. It might cost me a bit more for less drink to be happy. Plus the wine package for the MDR. We couldn't imagine not having our collapsible cooler when we cruise. This is a pic of the one we use. It's great, can hold up 2 buckets of beer easy and full of ice.:D We also do the wine package for the MDR. Too funny. The wine package prices went up but we still like having the bottle of wine at the table with dinner and we can pour it ourselves and if you don't finish it (which normally doesn't happen;)) you can take it back to to your cabin. Sometimes the waiters are so busy I can just imagine how long it would take for them to get you another glass of wine if you are on the awesome bar program. I see you are sailing on The Miracle in November, were sailing on The Miracle in October. Great ship and we're really looking forward to it awesome bar program or not.

Just like sodas in a cup. a $10.00 bill every day to the bartender might help but its more $$$. I would agree with you regarding an unopened beer. On our past cruises by the second day the bartenders and the Lido deck waiters saw our cooler knew what we wanted and a couple of bucks everyday went a long way. 4 beers sometimes turned into 6, 8 turned into 10. Never had a problem waiting for service either.:D
Sh1035 Posted September 7, 2012 #35 Share Posted September 7, 2012 Nope just like the all inclusives you got to walk for it......solution lido deck balcony for me! They are not going to give you a bucket to go share with your friends so they think. But figure I have 12 steps from my room to the closest bar.....it's in my file I am a member of the 12 step program...no offensive to anyone. Kerryman50 Posted September 7, 2012 #37 Share Posted September 7, 2012 Kerryman: I think were in the same boat Oh I mean ship. Hey that's my line, a boat vs.a ship. I find myself telling people when they refer to the ship as a boat when we cruise that we are NOT on a BOAT this is a SHIP. DW tells me that people don't care to hear that so keep it to yourself.

Ineed2cruise247 Posted September 7, 2012 #39 Share Posted September 7, 2012 Thats the best way to do it E150club. My wife says things like "I may not always be right, but i'm never wrong." Double Negative. Just have to pick your battles. LOL
Kerryman50 Posted September 7, 2012 #40 Share Posted September 7, 2012 But I think I will do BV for the wife, buckets o/beer & da wine package. Plus the drinks at the bar. I'm on board with that line of thinking.;) No hassles and I just went and looked at our folio from our 8 day on The Miracle from last May and if it runs us maybe a $100 or more if the awesome bar package is offered I'm not going to worry about it. Might be a moot point anyway, who know's when they will implement it on The Miracle. We have $100 of OBC for our upcoming cruise and we'll just have to cut down our time at the slots in the casino. DW loves the slot machines. The slots are usually very tight anyway, we never end up winning anything big, we've broken even a couple of times but we always have fun. Megalon Posted September 7, 2012 #42 Share Posted September 7, 2012 A slight veer from the topic of buckets. Beer will be easy to track because a single will always be under the $10 cut-off. But for drinks and wine. . . A $10 drink will be free, but an $11 drink will cost $8.25 at 25% off the total??? The profit would be incredible - the $42.95 per day and the drink surcharge. A $10 drink for free but an $11 drink for $8.25. One wonders if some drink prices will creep over the $10 line. One also wonders if the surcharged drink will have another 15% gratuity taken. People on the plan buying fancier mixed drinks and martinis may have to watch their beverage slips carefully until it sorts out. That glass of wine you ordered thinking it was free may come with an expensive surprise!

Kay78 Posted September 7, 2012 #46 Share Posted September 7, 2012 When did they start this program? Is it available on all ships? It says that each person in the state room must purchase the program. My husband doesn't drink, but I do, so is he required to have it because I do?

Martini's even with the Grey Goose upgrade are currently $9.95..so right under the mark.

It says that each person in the state room must purchase the program. My husband doesn't drink, but I do, so is he required to have it because I do? They started this program a few weeks ago. It is not available on all ships yet...only Victory, Splendor and i believe they said the Breeze was added or will be added next. Yes if one person buys it the other person is required to buy also...if 21 and over.
Uncle Doug Posted September 7, 2012 #50 Share Posted September 7, 2012 It would be my uneducated guess the buckets of beer will not be included in the bar package as there is no way to monitor sharing with everyone else on the Lido deck. Great way to make new friends though. I would (again guess) that it will be one drink at a time.
