I did a ship tour on the Pride this winter.

We arrived at the port around 10:30. We parked in special event parking and the bus took us from the lot to right in front of the terminal. We were met by a woman who was stationed at a desk as we went in the terminal. She collected our licenses, gave us our ID badges, whisked us through security and took us to wear the wedding parties (there were two) were waiting. We had to have our pictures taken by security going on the ship and we obviously weren't allowed to purchase any drinks since we didn't have a S&S card.

We were on the ship by 11. The wedding coordinator from A Wedding For You, saw us and our special badges and introduced herself and told us we were welcome to look around the ship on our own. She also told us that the bride had given permission to view the wedding from the balcony of the large show lounge if we'd like.

The wedding was at 1, so it gave us two hours to look around. We had my mobility impaired grandmother with us, so we took our time going from venue to venue to see what the set-ups looked like and what would be the best for our group. We did this until 12:50 and then made our way to the show lounge to view what the wedding looked like and how that bride had set hers up. The wedding only lasted maybe 20 minutes in all and that gave us another three hours on the ship.

We ate lunch on Lido and then wanted to show Grams where all of our cabins were and see if we could pop our heads in since they were still cleaning. We made our way to deck 5 and popped the corridor doors open. The room steward for our block was still cleaning and was fine with us stepping into one of the rooms, so Grams could get an idea of space and the amount of her luggage she couldn't bring.

We made our way back to the atrium and the Guest Services person, who apparently was supposed to escort us around the ship, waived us down and asked if we had any questions, concerns, etc. We were then escorted off the ship, turned our badges in, picked up our licenses, were back at the car by 4 and home by 5:15.

It was a really productive day for us. FI, Mom and I had all been on the Pride, but it gave Grams (and therefore, an extension of my family) a better understanding of how the day would proceed and what they could/should expect.

I don't have pictures on this computer, but I'll post some later.

My times were obviously off in my original response--sorry 'bout that. I wrote the review right after we did the tour. Thanks for finding that HerbalTees!

Hello carnival Brides, Can you please post the pics you included in your tour? For some reason the link in your review no longer works.

Thank you.
