Port Canaveral

Depends on the terminal, south terminals can walk along the harbor out to the beach. However, if at the North terminal which is on the other side of the harbor cannot walk along the road. I have seen shuttle buses at the pier, sign says "crew bus", they charge a small fee to take crew members to Walmart but you can probably take it to Cocoa Beach. here is a link to the Port website.

Across from the port you will notice fishing and casino boats. There are several restaurants there, and Jetty Park, which is one of our county parks, is also over there. The beach is nice there and there is also a fishing pier. I take my kids there a lot and we always have a great time. It's MUCH closer than the Cocoa Pier. This park and the restaurants are all in an industrial center, so many don't even realize it's there.

Here is the key info that the excursion people on the ship will not tell you:

There is a bus that looks like a typical city bus outside the terminal that will say "Crew Only" but then on a piece of cardboard invites ALL people to use it.

It goes to Cocoa Beach for something like $2.50 or $3 per person. It's the best kept secret. It runs all day.

We used it in February and plan to use it again in July.
