Question about kids play area on Oasis of the Seas/Allure of the Seas

Sadly, there is not a jungle gym on the Oasis. There is a different play area.

Oasis has the Seafood Shack, not Rita's Cantina. So, instead of the Mexican themed area, they have a couple of other things that are nautical themed. On the side where the jungle gym is located on the Allure, the Oasis has a mock ship and a mock rowboat (I think). Not much to do in it really. Just run up a set of stairs, look over the side and turn the navigator wheel, or go underneath the stairs and look through a porthole. On the other side, next to the Johnny Rockets, there is a mock double decker bus. As with the boat, your child can run up and down the stairs, and sit in the driver's seat to turn the wheel. They look fine. But, after a couple of minutes running around, our son was done with this area for the entire cruise. By comparison, when we were on the Allure roughly six months earlier, he loved that jungle gym. He must have climbed those stairs, crawled through the tunnel and gone done the slide a hudnred times. Little boys love slides. That's all there is to it!

Also, I know that you didn't elicit the information, but we decided to go back on the Allure again for a few reasons that you might want to consider. Don't get me wrong, the Oasis is worth it so you can see different shows. But, having done both we would do the Allure again for these reasons: First, Allure has the Madagascar themed Let You Entertain Me water show. Our toddler loved that. Oasis has a Splish Splash comedy show, which is basically guys doing pratfalls and other humor that is not necessarily all that interesting to a child. Second, the Allure has the How to Train Your Dragon ice show. Oasis has no separate ice show for kids. Third, the Allure has the Boardwalk Dog House. Very good variety of hot dogs. Much more selection that what is typically served in the Windjammer. Sure, we tried to get him to eat healthier fare during the cruise. But, having the hot dog place to fall back on in a pinch prevented several toddler tantrums from happening. Fourth, we liked doing the Rita's Cantina Fiesta party on the Allure. The Oasis does some sort of party at the Seafood Shack too, but we just like the chips/salsa, Mexican themed party atmosphere better. Fifth, as already mentioned, the Allure has the jungle gym and Oasis has the mock boats/bus.
