Carnival will provide towels, in your cabin. Or at least they used to deliver them to your cabin; I'm sure others will chime in if that has changed (on RCI, you have to check out towels by the pool).

We set sail on our very first cruise on Ecstacy on Oct 4th. I just printed out our packing checklists an all of our possible outfits are laid out in our dayroom just ready to packed away:D!! But I have a question:

 

Are beach towels provided by the cruise ship or do we need to pack our own for our ports of call, which are Nassau and Half Moon Cay?

They are provided in your cabin. You can take them ashore, just make sure you bring them back.

If you don't return them, the will charge you on your onboard account.

 

IMO, the towels are fine...good enough that I don't bring my own. But not good enough that I'd want to buy one.
