We will be staying in New Orleans next week, and we would like to attend service at a nearby church. Recommend churches nearby?

 

We are also looking for an organization doing a Feeding Program of some sort. May also connect with said church, but if anyone has any ideas of Feeding Programs, we would love to hear.

This is a mostly black church on the edge of the French Quarter. Very lively group, with lots of great music.

 

Neighborhood is safe.

 

All of these churches are Catholic. Unless you are a practicing Catholic you should not take communion, but otherwise the services are very ecumenical.

St Paul Lutheran Church is on Burgundy in the Marigny. Their service is at 10:30 on Sundays. That's the church I go too, excellent preacher.
