Scampyman123 Posted September 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2012 Both well into our 60's my wife & I join Splendour on 29/09/12 from Venice for our first ever cruise to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. On our return we are staying in Venice for 3 days and never having stayed in Venice before I would be grateful for any information on whether we could walk with cases to the hotel near the Cannaregio Canal, or is it possible to get a water taxi from the port to Cannaregio. Thank you in advance New to cruising
tahqa Posted September 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2012 It would not really be possible to walk from the cruise port to the Cannaregio area. You could take the people mover or the shuttle bus to Piazzale Roma and walk from there, but even that is not optimal as there are bridges to cross and uneven ground as well. Your best bet would probably be a water taxi from the cruise terminal.
