Just off the Inaugural Magic Galveston cruise and we were surprised by many little extras because it was the inaugural. Nice!

mrsfuzzmo Posted October 2, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Well, let's see. For Pirate night there were a LOT of costumes. Get her a little pirate costume to wear and she'll fit right in! The Pirate night party was very crowded and a little long. There was about 20 minutes of the Characters dance party, then the pirates came in and danced another 15 minutes or so and finally. the best part was when Mickey ziplined in to save the day. You'll definitely want to see that. Fireworks were right after Mickey and you could see them from anywhere on the ship. We were on the upper deck, port side (we didn't need to be down with the crowds dancing) and had a wonderful view. There was a Princess meet almost every day. There were 5 onboard: Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Tiana and Aurora. They didn't wander the ship much, but had the meets in the main lobby area. There is a video schedule up in the lobby so that you know what characters will be appearing where and when. The other characters, especially Goofy were around the ship quite a bit. Goofy even went an played basketball with the kids one day. Minnie was around a lot as well. Go to see the final farewell in the lobby on the last night and they will all be there toghether. It's cute. We didn't go to the shows this time around since they are the same as the last time we went. Well done, nice for kids and adults alike. If your Grandaughter likes ice cream, you can order Mickey bars in the dining room for dessert or through room service. They are not available anywhere else on the ship. They are not on the menu, but you can ask for them. Go to the sailaway party. She'll get a kick out of that. Lot's of characters and dancing. It's a great way to set sail. We all got Mickey hands on a stick to wave at the onlookers! It was adorable. We also saw a LOT of dolphins off the Port side of the ship before we set sail from Galveston. It was fun to watch. In the early evenings they have a kids dance party in the Promenade lounge. Kids seemed to really like that. Mom & Dad could have a drink, grab a snack and the kids could dance a bit before or after dinner.

ChildofGod Posted October 3, 2012 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2012 How does the rotational dining work on a 7 night cruise? I think there are 3 main restaurants and you visit each one on a different night. Do you visit them twice during the week?
mrsfuzzmo Posted October 3, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted October 3, 2012 The first dining room that is on your schedule will be visited 3 times. We had LAPLAPL, so we had Lumiere's, Animator' Palate, Parrot Cay, Lumiere's, etc. with our last night being back in Lumiere's. Your rotation will be on your KTTW cards and the dining times, days and table number will be on a ticket in your statroom when you arrive as well. You will also have one scheduled Character breakfast and they will have that info on the tickets as well.
