Tauranga bus/shuttle transfers?

I will be getting the the Tauranga port on a Saturday but the major car rental franchises only open from 8am - 12pm on Saturdays.

Anyone know if there are any buses or shuttles that can get me to and from Tauranga and Rotorua?

I won't be joining the tours as I just want to take my family to the Skyline luge and the Polynesian spa.

 

Any help is very much appreciated.

I find that really surprising, especially when a ship is in town. Did you email and say you were arriving on cruise ship? Every time we have been there, there have been cars waiting at the dock, some from Avis by memory. We used ABC Car rentals last time, and they were really good. You have to specify pickup and drop off at the port.

So, suggest you do email again. Good luck.

We have used rite price rentals and they also have special arrangements for cruise ship days from their base in Mt Manganui - NOT the airport. I suggest you email them and the others directly as suggested by Jen.
