fyrfyterwife Posted May 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2005 I was wondering what is the best way to book your shore excursions. Some people say that there are private tours that are alot cheaper than RCCL or do you just go with RCCL? If there are other ways could you please post the name for me to check into. Sheffie Posted May 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2005 Oh, so many choices! We have done excursions through the ship and independent excursions. A lot depends on the time in port. Last time in St. Maarten we did the America's Cup Regatta excursion. Fabulous! We could only book this through the ship. If there are excursions that I have checked out via the Ports of Call boards that are what we want, we do those. We also just go and do things on our own. I would advise you to go to the Ports of Call and check them out. So much good information is there. Have a great cruise! Michelle
Carrie P Posted May 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2005 For our upcoming cruise we book for St.Thomas on our own with Godfrey tours... $20.00 per person includes p/up at the ship, shopping, sightseeing and going to the beach. For St.Maarten we used an excursion from rccl... Afternoon beach bash at orient beach.
SunNSandNShop Posted May 23, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2005 If it is your first time cruising I'd say go with the ship excursions. Also, pick a few because one of my excursion was canceled and it was tough to figure out how we were going to fill our day. Always have a back up plan! I didn't!
