Beach close to town?

We are planning on doing an ATV excursion in the morning and stopping in town for lunch (any recommendations besides Pancho's?) Would like to check out a beach after lunch, any place somewhat nearby we should go to? We are in port until 7pm.

When we took the Carnival's Highlights and Shopping excursion, the guide walked by Panchos and had discount coupons...obviously he got some benefit if we went there. We sure had a look at it, the restaurant is nice and the prices definitely exceeded our expectations...it was very expensive. The guide was then quick to point out a place called Chosa, close to the center where food was excellent and prices very reasonable. There were also a lot of locals there. We were told the closest beach is about a 10 minute drive from the center.
