Anyone done the beach snorkel party excursion?

im going on a cruise next week (first cruise) and chosen to do the beach party snorkel on the carterman in cozumel.

 

i wont be doing the snorkelling (cant swim etc....) but was wondering if anyone could tell me what the whole experience is like and what actually happens?

 

where does the carterman dept from and at what point does it get to the beach? how does it get there etc....

If through Fury, they have lots of catamarans and would pick you up near whatever pier your cruise ship docks at.
