cruisequeen10 Posted October 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Has anyone stayed in the handicapped cabins on the Rhapsody. I just booked this cabin as my mother had recently broke her hip and she needs to have the bars in the bathroom and preferrably no obstacles. xxoocruiser Posted October 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Did you check RCCL's website ? All features of RCCL's HC cabins are clearly posted on it's website Here's the link http://www.royalcaribbean.com/allaboutcruising/accessibleseas/accessibleStaterooms.do
Sequim88 Posted October 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2012 Our experience with the accessible cabins has been they are very similar from ship to ship or class to class. Pretty much the same features with only minor differences - like the power door openers on Radiance class. Barrier free for wheelchairs but if mobility impaired and walking we have noticed there can sometimes be a slight ramp into bathroom that is gradual the long way but on sides is steeper and can be a trip hazzard when going over crosswise. Also bars in bathroom can vary as to which side of toilet. Considering Rahpsody for Alaska August 2013 hence checking this thread. have not done Vision class - yet.
