Enchantment 9/4/05

Recommended Posts

Not sure who has been posting about a 9/4/05 sailing on the Enchantment of the Seas but here is one. We just booked our cruise today. Would like to spend a couple of nights before the cruise in Boston. Any advice for a downtown hotel? What are the places we should visit while in the downtown Boston area? Thanks a lot and we will see you on-board.

Marriott Long Wharf is a nice hotel. On the waterfront right next to the New England Aquarium. Short walk to Fanuel Hall and you can easily reach the North End. There are duck tours that give you some history of the City while having fun. There are "scary" tours to show you haunted locations. Freedom Trail takes you along historic and Revolutionary War sites. Paul Revere's house. There is Fenway Park, Boston Common/Public Gardens for a swan boat ride.

Fanuel Hall is a great tourist destination. Plenty of shops and restaurants. There is a comedy club and bars for later night entertainment. What types of things are you interested in?

You won't find inexpensive hotels in Boston though.
