Hampton Inn New Orleans Convention Center

We've booked a room at the Hampton Inn New Orleans Convention Center the night before our cruise next month and they offer cruise parking at $14 per night. And shuttle service to the port the day of your cruise.

Has anyone ever utilized these services at this hotel? And what was your opinion about the hotel and it's location? It's just across the street from the convention center which is directly by the port so we felt it was a great location and all the hotel reviews seem positive.

Port parking is roughly $20 per night so we're thinking of the savings but don't want to risk any hassles with shuttle, hotel parking, etc.

Any thoughts or personal experiences/opinions greatly appreciated!
