BoPippy Posted October 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2012 Just wondering. Are the cabins that can accommodate up to 4 persons like they were at one time, still sticking out of the wall that would hit your head or are they all recessed into the walls?
it's5o'clocksomewhere Posted October 22, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2012 They are bunks that come down from the ceiling or out from the wall. Stewards will put them up every day or leave down if you request. Hitting head depends on how tall one is.;)

When not in use, they protrude out from the wall by about 10 inches and some passengers have reported that they regularly bumped into this protrusion. It is difficult to determine which ships and which cabins have these beds. Most cabins that accommodate 3/4 have upper berths that recess completely flat into the ceiling.
