DRich2 Posted May 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2005 Hi all, We are scheduled on the 6/25 Zuiderdam and have two connecting cabins. Our two 16yo girls will have their own room. I was wondering if the connecting doors can be kept unlocked (when closed) or do they automaticaly lock. We would always like to keep open the option of checking on them, while still giving them some privacy so they can have their door shut. Any help would be appreciated. suemag Posted May 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2005 Can't answer your question but just wanted to say hello. We are on the June 25 sailing as well.
RichGuy Posted May 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2005 I am very interested in this answer too, as we are doing the same thing with our teenage boys. We are cruising on the 18th, and alas, our boys will be sad not to get to meet your girls!
itsme_jj Posted May 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2005 can the outside door be locked but the connecting door be unlocked would be ideal!!!
cruisyjulie Posted May 26, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 26, 2005 We have been on the Zuiderdam twice, once in an S and also in an SS with our young kids. Both times we had connecting cabins and yes, the doors can stay unlocked between the cabins. Sometimes we would also keep the door propped open. The outside door to the cabin still locks automatically. Hope this is helpful. Have fun....
