Faster to the Fun question

I see that faster to the fun is available on my sailing. We have two cabins, but only need one cabin available upon boarding the ship. Do I need to purchase faster to the fun for both cabins to have my mom and 8 yr old son join us with all the other perks that are involved? We just dont want to be separated from our son while entering and exiting the ship.

Faster to the fun is purchased by Cabin - if you want to board together you'll have to purchase for both cabins. ken

And I don't even think you can sneek them through since FTTF is printed on your S&S card. But if you are there early enough for FTTF to be of any value when boarding the ship then your other family will be in the low number zone boarding and probably only about 5 minutes behind you.....

If you really don't want to be separated from your Son, just board with them instead of the FTTF people (it won't be that much of a delay) and then you can still go to the one cabin you've paid for early.

You might want to book fast, though. With only 15 passes available per sailing, they sell out pretty quick.

We're doing exactly what Janey suggested. We have a number of cabins booked, but only 1 FTTF ticket. I'll board early and the rest will drop their carry ons in my cabin once they board, get changed, etc, until their cabins are ready.

You might also ask the shoreside agent if she has any Zone 1 tags for your non-FTTF cabin, so you can stay closer together. Sometime when one agent has given out all the Zone 1's some of the other agents still have some.

And get to the pier around 10:30, regardless of what time your papers say.

UNLESS there are minors in the second cabin or everyone is on the same Sail and Sign card. You can check this info out under Priority Boarding in the FAQ's.

Isn't there supposed to be an adult in each cabin?

(I know people switch that after boarding)

If that is the case, then you would still have to buy for both cabins, as an adult would be listed in each one.

I had to purchase for all of our cabins. The kids are in one cabin and will be on the same account but still had to purchse for that cabin. You can book kids in a cabin as long as it is within 3 cabins of the parents. If the child is not sailing with their parent then an adult has to be booked in their cabin!

I have 2 minors (15 & & 17) in their own cabin. I called Carnival twice and was told that each cabin has to purchase. So I would assume they would not let you use the FTTF perks with your kids? Not going to chance it so I bought it.

I can not seem to find information on late disembarkation (through FTTF), other than it is available. We have a late flight home and want to stay on board as long as possible. Anyone had experience with the late disembarkation?

I was wondering if anybody has actually done this? I hear so many conflicting stories on here, and thru what people say Carnival said - we have 2 cabins, and I'm afraid to chance it, but FTTF is now sold out & I only have it for 1 cabin. Anybody use it with 2???

Okay, I'm not getting this FTTF thing. So you can pay extra and have priority boarding etc? Is this kind of like a ride pass at Disney? I have a suite booked, do I get anything different then on a FTTF pass?

How much is this FTTF program? We have a group of 28 sailing in June and there is one group in the party who doesn't have a suite or are VIFP status. I would like to offer this information to them if it's something they want.

The extension of benefits is offered to minors and same credit card for Diamond and Platinum it is NOT offered to FTTF for no additional charge. Each cabin will be charged. You may get lucky and get a gate agent that will let you through and let you stay together, however the other cabin will not be linked as you did NOT pay for them and they will have to go get their keys etc. It is an abuse of the program if you assume that you are getting that bonus. It doesn't matter that you have two 8 year olds and a 76 year old, the 76 year old is an adult and as such that cabin should also be subject to a fee.

It clearly states in that verbiage that FTTF pays for the service.

I did this for our cruise this past December and both cabins were able to use it since the kids were under 18. Easy and no problems.

Thanks for verifying this. We have 2 cabins on an upcoming cruise, one with just kids on our SS. According to the FAQ on carnival's website, we should be OK with FTTF for just the adult cabin and still have the kids board with us.

When we called we were told it was per cabin. We have connecting balcony cabins and have 2 adults and 2 kids. They would not allow us to put the two adults in one room and the kids in the other, so the "minor children" wording is strange to me since minor children are not really suppose to be able to be booked in rooms without an adult also being listed in the room.

I don't mind paying for both cabins, it is a reasonable rate. I just think the wording of the rules need to be as specific as possible since people are always wanting to skirt the rules.
